This is a replica I made recently of the very first thing I ever crocheted (free pattern). I was just 9 years old when my best friend, Arthana Thorp, had a beautiful tie that caught my eye. Her mother offered to show me how to make one, and within a few hours I had 3 stitches under my belt and had become a crocheter!
